Rules Reference
Learn how to create powerful automated rules to reward your customers.
Creating a Rule
Rules consist of several components that work together to determine when and how much credit to award.
Basic Information
- •Rule Name: Internal name for your reference (e.g., "5% Back on All Orders")
- •Description: Optional notes about the rule's purpose
- •Status: Active or Paused (paused rules don't issue credit)
Credit Settings
Credit Type
- • Percentage: Award X% of order value (e.g., 5%)
- • Fixed Amount: Award a specific dollar amount (e.g., $10)
Expiration
Override the default expiration period for this rule. Leave blank to use the global default.
Conditions
Define when the rule should trigger. All conditions must be met for credit to be awarded.
Customer Targeting
Choose which customers are eligible for this rule.
Schedule (Optional)
Run this rule only during specific date ranges. Perfect for seasonal promotions.
Example: Black Friday promotion from Nov 24-27, 2024
Managing Rules
Rules List
The Rules page shows all your rules with key information:
- •Name and status (Active/Paused)
- •Credit amount and type
- •Number of times triggered
- •Total credit awarded by this rule
Pause/Resume
Temporarily disable a rule without deleting it. Paused rules can be resumed at any time. Useful for seasonal promotions or when you need to troubleshoot.
Duplicate
Create a copy of an existing rule to quickly set up similar promotions. All settings are copied, but the new rule starts with 0 triggers.
Delete
Permanently delete a rule. This does not affect credit already issued by the rule.
Warning: Deleted rules cannot be recovered. Consider pausing instead if you might need it again.
Rule History
View a log of all credit issued by a specific rule, including customer name, order number, amount awarded, and date. Export this data to CSV for reporting.
